Media

Browse every photo and video of your locations, upload new media and manage what appears on Google.

The Media screen is a feed of every photo and video published across your locations — both the ones you uploaded and the ones customers added on Google Maps. Use it to review what people see on your Business Profiles, upload new media and remove or report photos.

Open it from the sidebar: Locations → Media. If you don't see the item, media management is not enabled for your account — ask your account manager.

Layout

  • Upload (top right) — opens the upload wizard. See Upload photos.
  • Filters under the header:
    • Uploaded by — All, Owner (your team) or Customers.
    • Type — All, Photos or Videos.
    • Category — filter by Google photo category.
  • The feed — a masonry grid of thumbnails. More items load as you scroll.

The screen also respects the Filters in the top bar (brand, location group, country, city).

Media cards

Each thumbnail shows the location, who uploaded it (Owner or Customer) and its category. For your own media the category chip doubles as a menu: pick another category to change it. Google is updated within a few minutes.

Owner media also shows its Google status:

BadgeWhat it means
Google pendingThe file is being sent to Google; this takes a few minutes.

Categories

Google groups photos by category. In LocalUp you can choose Cover, Profile, Logo, Exterior, Interior, Food & drink, Product, Team or Additional.

Viewer

Click a thumbnail to open it full size. Use the arrow keys or the on-screen arrows to move between items, Esc to close, and the download icon to save the file.

The action button depends on who uploaded the item:

  • Delete photo — for your own media. The photo is removed from LocalUp right away. If it is already on Google, it is deleted there within a few minutes; if it has not been published yet, its pending upload is cancelled. This cannot be undone.
  • Report on Google Maps — for customer photos. Google does not let business tools report customer photos, so the dialog explains how to do it on Google Maps: open the place, go to Photos, open the photo and use Report. Click Open on Google Maps to start. LocalUp does not track the outcome.
