If your location data lives in another system — an ERP, a store database or your website — you can publish it as a file at a public URL and let LocalUp read it on a schedule. Every sync applies the feed to your locations, so changes in your system reach Google without manual work. Open Locations → Schedule in the sidebar.
How feeds work
- The feed is a CSV, XML or JSON file at a public URL.
- Each row is matched to one of your locations by store code. Rows with unknown store codes are reported as errors; new locations are never created from a feed.
- Changes from the feed are applied to the matched locations and sent to Google after the usual 5-minute delay.
Layout
The header has a Connect feed button. Below it is the table of connected feeds:
| Column | What it means |
|---|---|
| Feed URL | Address of the feed file. |
| Last sync | When the feed was last applied. |
| Schedule | How often the feed is synced: Manual, Hourly, Daily or Weekly. You can change it right in the table. |
| Status | active or paused. |
| Created / Updated / Errors | Results of the last run. |
| Result | Link to download the result file (CSV) with per-row details. |
| Actions | Buttons to sync now, run a dry run, pause or resume, and delete the feed. |
When no feeds are connected, the page says No feeds connected yet.
Connect a feed
- Click Connect feed.
- Enter the Feed URL, for example
https://example.com/locations.csv. - Choose the Sync schedule: Manual (only when you click "Sync now"), Hourly, Daily or Weekly.
- If you need a starting point, download a CSV template, XML template or JSON template from Download template files.
- Click Connect feed.
Run a feed by hand
Use the buttons in the feed row:
- Dry run (validate without writing) — checks the feed and reports what would change. Nothing is written to your locations. Use it the first time you connect a feed and after changing its format.
- Sync now (apply the feed to your locations) — applies the feed immediately, regardless of the schedule.
A dialog shows the job status while it runs and then the numbers Created, Updated and Errors. Click Download result CSV to see the details of every row.
Pause, resume or delete
- Pause stops scheduled syncs; Resume starts them again.
- Delete removes the feed. Scheduled imports stop and the feed's history is deleted. This cannot be undone.
