Posts are short publications on your Google Business Profile: news, offers, events and important announcements. Customers see them in Google Search and Maps when they look up your business. The Posts screen collects every post across your locations, lets you create new ones and shows whether each post actually went live on Google.
Open it from the sidebar: Locations → Posts. If you don't see the item, posts are not enabled for your account — ask your account manager.
Layout
The header has two controls:
- List / Calendar — switches between the card view and the monthly calendar.
- New post — opens the post wizard (see Schedule a post).
The screen respects the Filters in the top bar (brand, location group, country, city): only posts for matching locations are shown. When nothing matches, you see an empty state instead of the list.
List view
Each post is a card with:
| Element | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Image or type icon | The post image, or a placeholder with the post type icon. |
| Type badge | Update, Event, Offer or Alert. |
| Status badge | Where the post is in its life cycle (see below). Hover it for details. |
| Title and text | The title and the first lines of the post body. |
| Created | The date the post was created. |
| Publish | The scheduled or actual publish time, or Not scheduled for drafts. |
| Auto-delete | Shown when the post has an auto-delete date. |
| Locations | How many locations the post is published to. |
| View on Google | A link to the live post, once Google shows it. |
| Call to action | The button label shown on Google, for example Book or Learn more. |
Use the pencil icon to edit a post and the trash icon to delete it.
Calendar view
The calendar shows one month at a time; use the arrows to move between months. Posts appear on their publish day. Click a post to open it in the wizard.
To move a post to another day, drag it to that day. The time of day is kept; only the date changes. A confirmation message appears when the post is rescheduled.
Post statuses
A post moves through several states. The badge on the card shows the one that needs the most attention across all of the post's locations:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Draft | The post has no publish time and is not sent anywhere. |
| Scheduled | The publish time is in the future. |
| Queued · sending in ~5 min | Changes are sent to Google about 5 minutes after saving, so you can still undo them. |
| Publishing | The post is being sent to Google right now. |
| Sent to Google | Google accepted the post; its review status has not been read yet. |
| In review by Google | Google is reviewing the post. It usually goes live within a few minutes. |
| Live on Google | The post is visible on Google Search and Maps. |
| Rejected by Google | Google rejected the post. Google does not always give a reason — check the post against Google's posting guidelines. |
| Failed | Sending failed. Hover the badge to see the error. |
| Waiting for Google reconnect | The Google account of a location must be reconnected before the post can be sent. |
| Not linked to Google | The location is not linked to a Business Profile; the post stays in LocalUp only. |
| Expired | The post's end date has passed. |
| Deleted | The post was removed from Google. |
Deleting a post
Click the trash icon and confirm with Delete post. The post is removed from LocalUp. If it is already published, it is also deleted from the Business Profile of every location it was posted to — the removal reaches Google within about 5 minutes. This cannot be undone.
