How-to

Upload photos

Upload photos and videos to one or many locations and publish them to Google Business Profile.

This guide shows how to upload photos and videos to your locations. One upload can go to many locations at once; every file is then published to the Business Profile of each selected location.

Before you start:

  • Media management must be enabled for your account (the Media item is in the sidebar).
  • Prepare your files: JPG, PNG or WEBP images up to 25 MB, or MP4 videos up to 100 MB.

Steps

  1. Open Locations → Media and click Upload. The Upload media wizard opens with three steps: Locations, Upload and Review.
  2. On the Locations step, select the locations where the media should appear on Google Business Profile.
  3. Keep Upload new files selected and click Next.
  4. On the Upload step, drop files into the box or click it to browse. You can add several files at once.
  5. For each file, choose its category from the list next to the thumbnail (it starts as Additional). Click the trash icon to remove a file you added by mistake.
  6. Click Next and check the summary on the Review step: the number of locations and the files to upload.
  7. Click Upload & publish.

The progress of each file is shown while it uploads; finished files are marked Done.

Check that it worked

A confirmation message shows how many items were uploaded, and the new media appears in the feed. Each item first shows Google pending and then On Google once Google has accepted it — usually within a few minutes.

Troubleshooting

  • A file is rejected before upload. Check the format and size: JPG, PNG or WEBP up to 25 MB, MP4 up to 100 MB.
  • "They will be published to Google once the Google account is reconnected." Some selected locations have a disconnected Google account. The files are saved and published automatically after you reconnect Google.
  • The badge shows Google push failed. Open the item and click Retry. If it keeps failing, contact your account manager.

Note: The Use from library option in the wizard (attaching media you already have to more locations) is not available yet.
