How-to

Edit many locations at once

Rename, recategorize, regroup, rebrand, upload media, set action links or change the open status of many locations in one go.

Bulk actions on the Locations page apply one change to all selected locations — for example a new primary category, a logo, or "temporarily closed" before a holiday. This saves you from opening each location separately.

Before you start:

  • Changes that affect Google listings are sent to Google, so the locations should be linked to a connected Google account.
  • To change data that differs per location (addresses, phones, hours), use Import locations from a file instead.

Steps

  1. Open Locations in the sidebar.
  2. Narrow the list with the search field, the status, country and city filters, or the top-bar Filters.
  3. Tick the locations you want to change. The checkbox in the table header selects the whole page.
  4. In the bar that appears, click Bulk actions and choose an action (see below).
  5. Fill in the dialog and click Apply (or the action button shown in the dialog).
  6. A message confirms how many locations were updated. To start over, click Clear to drop the selection.

Important: Close permanently marks the business as closed for good on Google. Reopening such a location requires a manual review, so use Mark temporarily closed for temporary closures.

Result

The changes are applied to the selected locations in the cabinet right away and sent to Google after the usual short delay (about 5 minutes). Open any of the locations to check the new values.

Troubleshooting

  • "Select at least one location". Tick at least one location before choosing an action.
  • "Pick a category" / "Pick a brand" / "Pick a group" / "Pattern is required". The dialog needs a value before you can apply it.
  • Large video files fail to upload. For files of 50 MB or more, use the import flow instead of the bulk upload dialog.
  • Some locations show "Not synced". Their Google account is disconnected or they are not linked to Google, so the change stays in the cabinet. See Reconnect Google.
