Create a location group to work with a set of locations as one unit — for example all stores in one region or all locations a regional manager is responsible for. Once the group exists, you can filter every page of the cabinet by it.
Before you start:
- Your locations must already be in the cabinet. See Take your first steps.
- Think about how you want to slice your business: by region, format, manager or anything else. A location can belong to several groups.
Steps
Create a group
- Open Locations → Location groups in the sidebar.
- Click New group.
- Enter a Name, for example
North region. - Under Locations, choose the locations:
- To pick by criteria, set the search, Brands, Cities or Groups filters and click Select matching.
- To pick individually, tick the locations in the list.
- Combine both: select by filter, then untick the exceptions or tick extra locations.
- Check the summary above the buttons — it shows how many locations are selected.
- Click Create group.
Add or remove locations later
You can change a group in two ways:
- On Location groups, click Edit on the group card, change the selection and click Save changes.
- On the Locations list, select locations, then choose Bulk actions → Location group → Add to group or Remove from group, pick the Group and click Apply.
Use the group as a filter
- In the top bar, click Filters.
- In Location group, choose your group.
- Click Apply filters. The dashboard, locations, reviews and other pages now show only the group's locations.
- To see everything again, open Filters and click Reset.
Result
The new group appears as a card on Location groups with the number of its locations, and it is available in the Filters panel, in location pickers and in bulk actions.
Troubleshooting
- "Name is required". Enter a name before saving.
- New locations are not in the group. A group keeps the locations selected when it was saved. Edit the group to add locations imported later.
