If a Google account stops working — for example after its password was changed or access was revoked — LocalUp can no longer publish to the affected Business Profiles. Your changes, replies, posts and photos are kept and wait. Reconnecting the account restores publishing, and everything that was waiting is sent automatically.
Before you start:
- You need the password of the Google account (and access to its own 2-step verification, if it has one).
- The Google account must still have access to the Business Profile listings.
Steps
- Open Other → Google Accounts, or click Reconnect in the warning banner at the top of the cabinet.
- Find the account with the status token expired, revoked, error or disconnected. The row explains what happened and how many locations are affected.
- Click Reconnect.
- Sign in to Google with the same account that is shown in the row, and allow the requested access.
- You are brought back to Google accounts.
Check that it worked
The account's status changes to connected, and the warning banner disappears. Pending changes are sent to Google automatically — for example, review replies change from Reply pending to Replied on Google, and posts from Waiting for Google reconnect to Live on Google.
Troubleshooting
- The row says "Managed via agency connection". The locations are connected through your agency's Google login. Only your agency can reconnect it — contact them.
- There is no Reconnect button. The account is working, or it is managed by your agency.
- The status stays the same after reconnecting. Make sure you signed in with the same Google account as before, and that it still manages the listings in Google Business Profile.
- Only some locations are back. Locations that the Google account no longer manages can't be published to. Check access to those listings in Google Business Profile.
