Interface

Location page

Edit everything about one location — profile, hours, media, attributes, action links, insights, services, verification and history.

The location page is where you edit everything Google shows about one of your locations and see its history and performance. Open it from the Locations list by clicking the arrow in the Actions column, or from search results.

Changes you make here are saved in LocalUp and then sent to your Google Business Profile listing.

Layout

The header shows the location name and address, with a Locations link back to the list. Actions:

  • View on Google — opens the listing on Google Maps.
  • Schedule send — choose a date and time when your edits should be sent to Google, instead of the usual delay. When a send is scheduled, the button reads Reschedule send and a Reset schedule button appears.
  • Save changes — saves your edits.

Summary cards

CardWhat it shows
VerificationVerification state of the listing on Google.
RatingAverage star rating.
ReviewsNumber of reviews.
Open statusWhether the location is open, temporarily closed or permanently closed.

If fields are empty, the page shows up to two bars:

  • Missing required fields (red) — fields Google needs to publish the listing: Title, Primary category, and the address — Address, City and Country — unless you serve customers at their location and fill in a Service area instead. These fields are marked with * in the form.
  • Recommended to fill in — Phone, Website and Description. They are not required, but they improve how the listing performs on Google.

You can save a location that still has missing fields, but you cannot empty a required field that was already filled in: Save changes shows "These fields are required" with the field names.

Sending changes to Google

When you click Save changes, the edits are applied in LocalUp at once and queued for Google. A banner Changes are queued for Google shows how long the push is held — about 5 minutes — so you can keep editing. In the banner you can click Send now to push immediately or Cancel to cancel the push (your edits stay saved in LocalUp).

Other banner states:

  • Sending changes to Google… — the update is in progress.
  • Google rejected the last push — Google did not accept the changes. Your edits are saved in the cabinet, but the listing on Google was not updated.
  • Waiting for the Google account to be reconnected — the push goes out automatically after the Google account is reconnected.
  • Waiting for the trial to be converted — nothing is sent to Google until your agency converts the trial.

If you scheduled a send, a banner Push scheduled for shows the date and time, with Reschedule and Reset.

Verification

Shows the Verification status as Google reports it and the Verification history. If the listing is not verified, click Show available methods, pick a method (for example Postcard by mail or Text message (SMS)) and click Start verification. When the code arrives, enter it under Enter verification code and click Submit code.

A location that is not linked to a Google Business Profile listing shows Not on Google here and has no verification history. Use Link to Google to connect it: search your connected Google account's listings (the best matches by store code, name and address come first and are marked Likely match), pick the listing and click Link to this listing. The location then takes its profile from Google and its reviews, posts, photos and analytics are imported — nothing is changed on Google. Listings already linked to another location can't be picked. If your locations are connected only through your agency's Google account, ask your agency to link it.

Health alerts — Mute this location stops counting this location in the «needs attention» banner and stops Google status emails for it; your agency sees it under the Muted filter. Click Unmute to turn alerts back on. Both actions are recorded in the audit log.

Audit log

Every change to this location — by users and by the system. Filter by source (User, System) and by action. Entries are kept for 12 months.
