Cabinet overview

A tour of the LocalUp cabinet — sidebar, top bar, global filters, search, banners and where to find help.

LocalUp is where you manage your business locations on Google: you keep listing details up to date, read and answer reviews, publish posts and photos, and track how customers find you. Everything you see in the cabinet belongs to your company only. This article explains the parts of the screen that are the same on every page.

Layout

The cabinet has three areas:

AreaWhat it contains
Sidebar (left)Your company name and all sections of the cabinet, grouped by topic.
Top barGlobal search, Filters, the news bell, the language switcher and the ? help menu.
Main areaThe screen you opened. Warning banners, when there are any, appear above it.

The sidebar lists every section you have access to:

  • Dashboard — the start screen with key numbers and recommendations.
  • Brands — the brands your locations operate under.
  • Locations — your locations and everything related to them: Analytics, Location groups, Store locator, Services & menu, Media, Posts, Duplicates and Schedule (data feeds).
  • Booking — online booking, when it is available for your account.
  • Reviews — the review inbox and its tools: Templates, Auto-replies, Statistics, Tags & Topics, Review widget, Collect reviews and Statuses & assignments.
  • Other — API, MCP server, Audit log, Users, Google Accounts, News, Profile and AI credits.

Some sections are optional features. If you do not see a section mentioned in this help center, it is not enabled for your account — ask your account manager.

At the bottom of the sidebar you see your name and role, a logout button and Collapse, which shrinks the sidebar to icons.

Top bar

The search field searches menu items, locations, reviews, posts, templates and brands at the same time. Results are grouped by type; click a result to open it.

Filters

Filters opens a panel with Brand, Location group, Country and City. Click Apply filters to narrow the data on every page — the dashboard, locations, reviews and other lists — to the selected locations. The filters stay applied as you move between pages until you change them or click Reset. The number on the Filters button shows how many filters are active.

Tip: If a list looks unexpectedly empty, check whether a filter is active.

News bell

The bell shows the latest news from your agency. Click View all to open the News page.

Language

The language switcher changes the interface language for you.

Help menu

The ? menu opens Help center — this documentation. Many screens also have a help link that opens the article describing that screen. In the help center you can search articles or use Ask AI to get a short answer with links to the articles it is based on. Asking the help center does not use your AI credits.

Banners

Banners at the top of the page tell you about things that need attention:

  • Google connection problem — a Google account linked to your locations is disconnected, so changes are not published to Google. Click Reconnect (or Details if the connection is managed by your agency). See Reconnect Google.
  • AI temporarily unavailable — some AI features are paused. Contact your agency if you need them.
  • Trial — shows how many days of the trial are left. When the trial has ended, the cabinet becomes read-only: you can view everything, but changes, replies, publishing and AI are disabled until your agency converts the account.

How changes reach Google

When you edit a location, reply to a review or publish a post, the change is saved in LocalUp immediately and sent to Google after a short delay (about 5 minutes). The delay gives you time to make more edits or cancel. While a location change is waiting, the location page shows a banner with the time it will be sent.
