LocalUp works with your Google Business Profile listings through a connected Google account. Through it, LocalUp reads your locations, reviews, photos and statistics, and publishes your changes — edits, replies, posts and photos. The Google accounts screen lists the connected accounts and shows whether each one is working.
Open it from the sidebar: Other → Google Accounts.
Layout
- Connect account (top right) — connects a new Google account. You are taken to Google to sign in and grant access, then brought back to LocalUp.
- The list of connected accounts.
Each row shows the account name and email, when it was connected, its status and actions:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| connected | Everything works. |
| token expired | The access token expired. It is usually refreshed automatically; reconnect if this persists. |
| revoked | Access to the Google account was revoked, or Google rejected the saved authorization (for example after a password change). |
| error | Syncing with Google failed repeatedly. |
| disconnected | The account is no longer connected. |
When an account is not working, the row explains the reason and how many locations are affected. Changes to those locations are not published to Google until the account is reconnected. They are kept and sent automatically afterwards.
Row actions:
- Reconnect — appears when the account needs attention. See Reconnect Google.
- Trash icon — Disconnect the account. Its locations stop syncing, and every pending change for Google is blocked until it is connected again.
Accounts managed by your agency
Some of your locations may be connected through your agency's own Google login. Such rows are named Your agency's Google account, say Managed via agency connection and show how many of your locations they cover — the agency's Google email is not shown. You can't reconnect or remove them — if one stops working, contact your agency. The agency's account can't be browsed from your cabinet, so Import from Google only lists your own Google accounts: to import more locations, connect your own account or ask your agency.
Importing locations after connecting
Right after you connect an account, the Import locations from Google window opens. Choose which Business Profile locations to manage in LocalUp — only the selected ones are imported, with their reviews, photos, posts and analytics. Then click the import button, which shows how many locations you selected (for example Import 3 locations). You can search by name, address or store code, and filter by Not imported or Imported.
Warning banner
When a Google account stops working, a banner appears at the top of the cabinet with Reconnect and Details buttons, so you notice the problem on any screen.
